Example Search Engine Report

This report shows how a site is placed on the important search engines for the various keywords listed on the left margin. The "Position" is where the site is listed in the search results for that set of keywords. In the example below, on AltaVista for the keywords "business gifts" the bizgifts.com site is listed 9th. For this search engine, the listing appears on the first page. In the report previous to this it was not listed in the first 100 sites.

In this example, bizgifts.com is well positioned on many of the search engines, with numerous top 10 listings. This site is in a highly competitive industry, with thousands of sites competing for these keywords.

This example actually is smaller than a typical report. The number of search engines and the number of keywords have been limited to reduce loading time.
